21-DEC-2003: dmklib release 0.31 is now available for download. Release 0.31 fixes problems with reading 8-inch diskettes.
dmklib is a library to manipulate DMK disk image files. The package also includes rfloppy, a utility to read actual floppy disks (3.5-, 5.25-, and 8-inch) and write the contents to a DMK disk image file. DMK format is commonly used for archival purposes or simulation because it preserves the details of the disk format, such as sector interleave.
dmklib is made available under the terms of the Free Software Foundation's General Public License, Version 2.
Source code to a very preliminary release is available for download.
